Storyboarding is a very important part of modern film making. It is a process of producing sketches of the shots on paper. It can give an idea of how the film will look, it is one of the main planning parts of pre production. It also helps director, producer and cinematographer communicate with each other, and make sure they agree on the sequence before the actual shoot day. It can also help to understand what locations and shots are needed to get the desired effect from the sequence. When drawing storyboards we can use arrows, transition notes and general notes to make sure we get the best representation of a video on paper.

In our storyboards we included the essentials : notes discribing actions in the shot, dialogues, and some of them have arrows showing movement of the camera or character movement in the shot. This helped us plan the shots and will hopefully make our shooting day more organised.
